Autoblend metering systems are turn-key metering and blending systems for the production of high-value products using liquids, pastes and powders. Bran+Luebbe’s Autoblend metering systems can be customized for an accurate and repeatable blend formulation across industries. Versatile and powerful, Bran+Luebbe’s Autoblend metering systems are also eco-friendly, utilizing sealless diaphragm pumpheads to eliminate fugitive emissions and prevent product contamination.
SPXFLOW systems engineers at Bran+Luebbe develop leading industrial blending process solutions, either from the extensive range of standard Bran+Luebbe systems or individually designed and manufactured to specification. Process equipment installations are largely assembled from inhouse products due to the wide range of precise key components manufactured by SPX FLOW. SPX FLOW specialized process engineers excel in the optimization of complete process solutions for higher productivity and product quality. SPX FLOW manufactures both in-line and tank mounted Autoblend metering systems, homogenizers and computer-operated controllers; encapsulating the entire blending process. For Bran+Luebbe, a turn-key installation details everything from design concept through project engineering, manufacture, installation, hardware and software for full process control. Past products Bran+Luebbe also offers certified start up and operator training to ensure plant safety and optimal functionality.
Autoblend installations can dramatically improve productivity and reduce running costs. All Bran+Luebbe installations meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Bran+Luebbe Autoblend installations are used in all kinds of industries and processes - food, chemicals, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals; utilizing batch or continuous production, semi or fully automatic operation, for single or multiple products.

Process control is at the heart of production management, most Bran+Luebbe Autoblend metering installations employ a fully automatic control system. Using SPX FLOW hardware and software tools adapted to the application a process manager can oversee the intricates of the production line in a glance. In addition to straight forward control, other modules provide:
The most basic type of system control monitors a single process. This can be extended to several processes, using a single computer with data-bus communication. Even if the computer should fail, production will not be interrupted; as all modules and functions can be controlled manually.
The continuous production process of high quality body lotion with a Bran+Luebbe metering and mixing system begins with emulsification within a Bran+Luebbe PENTAX mixer. Leading to end-product cooling in a tube heat exchanger. While the process is being monitored by a computer controlled system with mass flow meters and flow stream monitoring.

The Autoblend metering shampoo installation was developed by Bran+Luebbe for the continuous production of cosmetics without preservatives. The main components are delivered by rotary pumps with flow meters; the minor ingredients inserted by metering pumps. The PENTAX mixer ensures a homogenous product within a process running fully automatically under a programmable logic controller (PLC) with recipe management, raw material management and process data reports. The installation satisfies the necessary hygienic requirements, and cleaning is automatic. The pH and viscosity of the finished product are measured online for quality assurance.

This installation uses a metering pump with 6 pump heads to accurately measure and disperse the correctly measured amount of dye. The proportion of each dye in the mixture is controlled by adjusting the pump stroke. The motor speed is regulated proportionally to the speed of the paper production machine. The dye intensity can be adjusted by altering the ratio of the pump speed to the paper machine speed. The dye mixture may be diluted with a high volume of water immediately after delivery, to simplify transport and mixing. Automatic recipe adjustment can be provided by fitting electrically operated stroke length adjusters.
