Evaporation and Distillation

With the development in 1957 of the plate evaporator, APV introduced a new concept in evaporation techniques to processors of heat sensitive products. It was designed to be erected on a single level without structural steel supports and fit under ceilings of 12 to 16 ft. (3.7m to 4.9m)

APV plate evaporators have set high standards for rapidly concentrating milk, food, juices, chemicals, pharmaceuticals or any product which must be processed under gentle heating conditions.

APV evaporators are available in four arrangements to concentrate products of varying characteristics and quantities. According to need, these systems employ Rising/Falling Film, Falling Film, Paravap, or suppressed boiling Paraflash technology.
APV features:

  • Improved product quality
  • Low liquid holdup
  • Easily cleaned
  • Flexible capacity
  • Low installation costs
