SPX Food and Beverage presented its newest lineup of food technologies, products and solutions to an eager crowd attending the 2015 Anuga FoodTec exhibit, which took place March 24-27 in Cologne, Germany. The longstanding global trade show features the latest developments and innovations in the areas of food processing, food packaging, food safety, food ingredients, as well as the services and solution sectors.
This year, the Anuga FoodTec show drew some 45,000 attendees from 130 countries. Occurring every three years, SPX has consistently attended the show over the past two decades. This year's theme was “resource efficiency," with an emphasis placed on how energy, water and food resources can be reduced during the production process.
SPX's 5,000-square-foot booth was packed with customers during each of the trade show's four days. At the booth, which included plenty of customer seating, meeting facilities and touch screens for presentations, queues formed to speak with product specialists who recorded approximately 600 qualified leads.
Among the many SPX products and services featured this year were the company's APV-branded Ultra-High Temperature Milk Plant, EcoPure Centrifugal Pump, the Magnerscan which is used for inspection of pressure and non-pressure stainless steel vessels, the GappScan leak detector, the Product-to-Product Ultra High Temperature tube and SPX's PITSTOP maintenance campaign.
Also featured were new applications for the APV Cavitator, an upgraded Separator model and the APV CompoMaster.
“This was a great opportunity for SPX Food and Beverage to showcase a broad range of solutions and meet with our customers face-to-face as well as network with our colleagues from across multiple SPX brands," said Irene Constantin, Marketing Communications Manager. “The feedback from visitors to our booth was overwhelmingly positive. This was by far the best Anuga exhibit we have put on in all the years we have attended."
