COVID-19: Message from CEO

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, MARC MICHAEL

In normal times and especially in times of crisis, SPX FLOW’s purpose has never been more clear; we innovate with customers to help feed and enhance the world.

As governments across the world mandate complete or partial shutdowns for non-essential businesses, SPX FLOW is, in most cases, considered an essential business for the role we play to support our customers, channel partners and end users so they can deliver life's essential elements to consumers.

Our engineering solutions, high quality products, aftermarket parts and technical services are critical to support the production of household brand names that provide water, foods, beverages, infant formula, medicine and personal care items that are in high demand. We support manufacturers of soap, hand sanitizer, bleach, disinfectant wipes and other anti-bacterial cleaning products. These products are being used more than ever right now to help contain and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We even support manufacturers of toilet paper, who are trying to replenish store shelves across the world.

As we manage through this crisis, I have been extremely impressed with the level of engagement and swift execution from our business continuity and crisis teams, who are meeting frequently to ensure the health, safety and well-being of our team members and stakeholders. We have applied the learnings from our experience in China and Korea to swiftly and proactively implement measures across our operations aimed at protecting health and minimizing the spread of the virus in our communities across the world. Additionally, we have implemented programs to provide employees stability when work has been temporarily disrupted, to keep ongoing work environments clean and healthy and enable business continuity to our customers, channel partners and suppliers.

During this unprecedented time, I remain in awe of our resilient and determined workforce, focused on helping hard hit communities where we live and work, serving our customers and each other, further highlighting our emphasis on building a people-first culture. 

Our thoughts are with those families directly affected by COVID-19. While difficult challenges are still ahead, I have never been more confident that the goodwill and outreach happening across the globe will lead to a better tomorrow.
