Our expert Tarang Bulchandani/Sr. Research Engineer will deliver a speech, which examines impeller blade wear in autoclave processes like HPAL and POX, where abrasive slurries and high speeds cause erosion that can compromise performance and lead to downtime. Tarang will also introduce experimental and numerical (CFD) methods for characterizing wear patterns, validate lab results against field-installed impellers, and show how these insights are used to develop erosion-resistant impeller geometries.
