The Gerstenberg Schröder® Continuous Butter Making Machine is designed to meet the market demands for high-quality, freshly churned butter products. Our continuous butter making machine offers a wide range of options, allowing you to produce everything from continuous batches of butter to various dairy blends and high-moisture butter, tailored to suit diverse consumer preferences. With a strong focus on product safety and easy maintenance, this automatic butter making machine incorporates cutting-edge manufacturing technology to address the evolving needs of modern butter production facilities. 

 

Continuous Production 

Our Butter Making Machine ensures seamless butter production for butter processing plants with capacities from 900 kg up to 12,000 kg per hour. This automatic butter making machine is delivered with a sophisticated PLC control system and user-friendly operator interface, offering precise control of the production process, including dosing of water, salt and culture. Integrated camera solutions provide remote monitoring, while automated flow control allows for flexible adjustments to working intensity and moisture distribution. The system features built-in cream preheating and buttermilk cooling for maximum efficiency. An integrated Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) system simplifies installation and maintenance, eliminating the need for external CIP tanks.

 

Product Quality & Consistency 

  • Immediate Buttermilk Cooling: Enhance buttermilk quality by rapidly cooling it to storage temperature. Buttermilk remains free from traces of salt, culture, color, and other unwanted elements due to the design of the machine. 

  • Precise Dosing Control: Maintain consistent product quality with precise dosing of water, salt, culture and other additives based on real-time butter flow, targeting a moisture content of 15.85% ±0.15%. 

  • Efficient Vacuum Treatment: Achieve a low air content (≤0.5% Vol.) for superior butter texture and tight weight accuracy at packaging. 

  • Flexibility and Control: Effortlessly adjust butter working and moisture distribution to meet varying butter production needs. 

 

Food Safety 

  • Operational Visibility: Use integrated camera systems to ensure compliance with food safety standards. 

  • Food Contact Materials (FCM): Designed to meet stringent hygiene standards, this machine guarantees safe and sanitary butter production.

  • Optimized Cream Churning: Efficiently churn cream with varying fat content (35% to 44%) using our integrated pre-heater system.

  • Water Conservation: Our vacuum pump's recirculation system cuts fresh water consumption by approximately 550 liters per hour, promoting sustainable operations.

Theory of Operation

The Continuous Butter Making Machine is designed for seamless and efficient butter production. The process begins with pasteurizing and cooling cream before it enters the machine. Once inside, the cream undergoes a precise churning process, where it is continuously agitated to separate butterfat from buttermilk. The butterfat is then worked and kneaded to achieve the desired texture and consistency. An advanced vacuum section removes any air bubbles, ensuring a smooth, high-quality final product. The machine's continuous operation allows for uninterrupted production, maximizing output and efficiency. This innovative process consistently delivers superior butter, ready for immediate packaging. 

 

OPTIONS & PERFORMANCE

  • Cold-Mix System: Add a cold-mix system for producing low-fat or spreadable butter, addressing changing market demands.
