Based on an adaptable platform, the Votator® Origin scraped surface heat exchanger is configured to operate under harsh conditions where other heat exchanger technologies can fail or cannot sustain operational efficiency over a longer period.

Designed to meet 3-A sanitary requirements, the Votator Origin is used to heat or cool low and medium viscous products with or without particles. The Votator Origin scraped surface heat exchanger is available in two basic configurations:

The Votator® Origin Series is designed for use at 14 to 302°F (-10 to 150°C) with a design pressure of up to 290 psi (20 bar) in the standard version and comes optional in a 362 psi (25 bar) version.

Materials used enable utilization of acidic fluids. The flow-design creates a low pressure drop that enables processing of products with particles and solids.


The Votator® Origin is available in three lengths: pilot (5x20), small (5x40), and long (5x80). This flexible range is designed for use not only in production, but also in pilot lab facilities.




Regardless of your specific application, the multiple Origin options mean a tailor-fit design to your current requirements and is flexible for future processing needs.

The Votator Origin scraped surface heat exchanger is customizable depending on the product, production volume, hygienic requirements, space constraints and heating/cooling medium. Its modular design enables flexible adaptation to your process needs.

To enable process customization with either stainless steel or duplex steel, there are three optional shaft diameters, with a self-loading hinged scraper blade as a standard offering and a floating flat blade for various products including particulates. Additional options include shaft heating, insulation, and double mechanical seals.

The Votator Origin Series complies with 3-A sanitary design and fabrication standards, and available certifications include PED, CE, and CRN. The design is built to EHEDG standards, but a certificate was not pursued.

Blade selection is based on compatibility with the heat exchanger tube material, product fluid characteristics, processing temperatures, and cost. For the Origin Series, blade selection is also dependent on shaft diameter selection.
