When Timing is Everything

A customer that makes healthy snack dips reached out because their engineering firm was planning on a multistage upgrade to their plant using WCB valves. The first stage of the project needed to be onsite in 4 weeks with the second stage due 4 weeks later. Before the order hit even the books, our operations team started building key components of the valves to ensure that we could fulfill everything on time. By the end of delivery for stage 2, we delivered 11 days ahead of schedule between both phases. Oftentimes, delivery timing isn’t the driving force on projects. One engineering firm was designing a sugar heating skid using WCB valves along with APV heat exchangers and dispersion equipment. When they reached out, we took a deep dive into their P&ID’s to ensure the equipment was properly specified and optimized for efficiency and longevity. After a couple of design review meetings, SPX FLOW recommended adding additional valves around the APV Cavitator to ensure optimal performance based on their specific design criteria and processing conditions, as well as some minor tweaks to the designed valves to simplify the overall skid.
